Mechanical Design
Leveraged SolidWorks to design and model all mechanical components, translating conceptual ideas into precise 3D models ready for fabrication.
Circuit Layout
Designed the integrated circuit layout to manage sensors and data output, ensuring all electronic components worked together seamlessly within the physical constraints.
Data Monitoring
The device was conceptualized to track and display water consumption data, providing users with actionable insights into their usage patterns.
From Concept to Creation
1. Problem Definition
The project began by identifying the need for a user-friendly device to monitor household water usage as part of an engineering course challenge.
2. SolidWorks Modeling
I used SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models of the device's enclosure and internal mechanical parts, focusing on a compact and manufacturable design.
3. Electronic Integration
The circuit layout for the sensors and microcontroller was designed to fit within the custom enclosure, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
